    This issue celebrates the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hieronymus Karl Friedrich, Baron von Münchhausen (1720-1797).
    The literary character Baron von Münchhausen, a fictional German nobleman created by the German writer Rudolf Erich Raspe in his 1785 book Baron von Munchausen's Narrative of his Marvellous Travels and Campaigns in Russia was loosely based the real Baron von Münchhausen.
    The obverse recreates the famous scene in the book where Baron von Münchhausen rides a cannonball during the war with the Turks.
    The reverse has the German eagle, the words “BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND”, the value and denomination, the letter “A” for the Berlin Mint, the year 2020, and the twelve stars of Europe.
