    The Warsaw Pact was a military alliance concluded in 1955 between most of the States of the eastern, communist bloc by a treaty of friendship, cooperation ans mutual assistance, also known as the Warsaw Treaty.
    The number XX, from the 20th anniversary of the Pact, is surrounded with the 7 coats of arms of each member state (first row: Czechoslovakia, GDR - second row: Romania, USSR, Bulgaria - third row: Poland, Hungary). It should be noted that Albania was originally a member of the Pact, but resigned in 1968.
